Hogan is based out Chico, CA a small college town nestled between the Lower Sacramento River, Feather River, and the Lower Yuba River. These 3 rivers, their watersheds, and surrounding lakes offer 365 days a year of fly fishing for anglers of all skill levels for Resident Striped bass, Migratory Striped bass, Rainbow Trout, both spring and fall run steelhead, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Carp, and American Shad. At our company, we strive to provide our customers with exceptional outdoor experiences. To make sure that everything runs smoothly, we require a clear set of policies for reservations, cancellations, and refunds. These policies are necessary because planning for a trip involves securing guides, permits, and lodging well in advance. To ensure that we can provide the best service possible, we need to know that our customers are committed to their reservations. This is why we require a 50% deposit to secure a reservation. The deposit allows us to start planning and make the necessary arrangements for a successful trip. In the event of a cancellation, our policies help us minimize losses and ensure that we can continue to offer our services to other customers. We hope that our customers understand the importance of these policies and appreciate the effort we put into organizing each trip.
Reservation Deposit Policy
A credit card on file is required to secure your deposit but we offer multiple payment options
- Credit Card Option- 5% processing fee. 50% deposit will be taken if the booking is more 30 days from the trip date. Final payment will be due 7 days before the trip date.
-ACH Option- 2% plus $5 processing fee. Balance is due on completion of the trip. Final payment will be due 7 days before the trip date.
-Cash/Check Options- 0% fees. Please mail checks to 530 Outfitters or let us know that you will be bringing cash on the day of your trip. A credit card must be on file for this option.

Cancelation Policy
- Trips canceled outside of 30 days- Full Refund
- Trips Canceled inside of 30 days of the trip- 50% refund
- Trips cancelled within 7 days of the trip- Full trip fee is due
*Please note that trips are not canceled due to adverse weather conditions, and we strongly recommend that you purchase trip insurance. Our guided fishing trips take place rain or shine and we only cancel trips due to unsafe conditions. In the event of a cancellation on our end, we offer a full refund.

Northern California has some of the best Wild Trout and Steelhead fishing in the Lower 48. There are 3 tail water fisheries with year round rainbow trout fishing and both spring and fall runs of steelhead with in 60 miles of Chico, CA.
